Mark Timmons
Mark and his family came to Friendship in 2018 to serve as the Associate Pastor; he now serves as our Lead Pastor. Mark has experience in educational administration, discipleship ministry and church planting. He earned a Master of Divinity degree from Southern Seminary and also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the College of Charleston. As a freshman in college, Mark came to know the saving grace of Christ and met his future bride, Libbie. They were married in 2002 and have been given 4 daughters and 1 son. Libbie works from home, managing their household and overseeing the education of their children. Mark also teaches part-time at Veritas Classical School.
Mark’s ambition is to live out Acts 20:24: “But I do not account my life of any value nor as precious to myself, if only I may finish my course and the ministry that I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God.”

John lane
John came to Friendship in 2021 and now serves as Associate Pastor. His family grew up attending Peninsula Community Chapel in Yorktown, VA where he quickly became involved in the Men’s Ministry and for ten years co-led the High School Ministry which was the springboard for leading a dozen youth trips to Mexico, Louisiana, Japan & China. For several of those years he led a Home Group in his house. He and his wife, Marilyn, began serving on the Missions Team when the Lord called them to be missionaries in the United Arab Emirates from August 2016-August 2021. There, John was the Team Director handling logistics and spiritual growth for 60 staff members and their families while working for an international school of 500 students from 48 nations.
John seeks to conform his life to the truth of Galatians 2:20: “I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live but Christ who lives within me. The life I live in the flesh, I live by faith in the one who loved me and delivered himself up for me.”

LUIS CARREon
Luis and his family came to Friendship in 2017 and currently serves as our Minister of Outreach and Missions. Luis studied at Baptist University of Americas and has served in church staff positions in Texas and throughout South Carolina. Luis and his wife, Maribel, have 5 daughters and 1 son, as well as two son-in-laws and four grandchildren. Maribel works as a teacher at the Charleston Bilingual Academy and plays a vital role in the ministry of our church. Luis also works part-time teaching Spanish for Charleston County public schools.
Luis' life is shaped by the promises of Isaiah 40:31, "But they who wait for the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint."

JUSTIN PARRISH
Justin has been a worship leader in Charleston since 2011 and came on staff as our Worship Leader in 2021. He and his wife, Emily, have two daughters and a hound dog named Piper. He graduated from Charleston Southern University in 2016 with BA in Music & Worship Leadership/Classical guitar. He also studied voice and jazz guitar at Winthrop University. He also enjoys playing guitar/banjo in various bands around Charleston.
Justin's passion is helping the church better see the beauty of Jesus through music. "I love getting to work at the intersection of beauty and theology."

michelle esquivel
Michelle and her family came to Friendship in 2019. She began working at Friendship as the Ministry Assistant in January 2021. She is married to her husband Irvin and together they have 3 boys. She lives a Christ centered life and has always enjoyed helping and serving others.
Michelle seeks to live her life by Matthew 5: 16, "So don’t hide your light! Let it shine brightly before others, so that the commendable things you do will shine as light upon them, and then they will give their praise to your Father in heaven.”

Erika rodriguez
Erika and her family came to Friendship Baptist in September of 2020 and now serves as the Church Custodian and also works as a teacher assistant for CBA. She is married to her husband Rafael and together they have 5 children.
Erika seeks to live her life by, Proverbs 3:5-6 5, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths."

hoan le
Hoan Le joined Friendship Baptist in June of 2023 and now serves as a Pastoral Intern. He loves discipleship, books of all varieties, coffee, cooking and spending time with friends. During his free time, you can find him meeting with people or studying/reading.
Hoan is finishing his BA in Pastoral Ministry at the College at Southeastern Baptist Seminary. In the fall of 2024, he will begin his Advanced MDiv. degree. Hoan has formerly served as a Pastoral Assistant over Student and Media ministries. He hopes to pursue ministry as a Church Revitalizer.

jonathan price
Jonathan Price and his wife Amanda joined Friendship Baptist in June of 2023 and he now serves as a pastoral intern. He currently runs our High School ministry, Logos Student Ministry, where he hopes to teach kids to let the word of Christ dwell richly in them! (Col. 3:16)
Jonathan is currently a student at the College at Southeastern pursing a bachelors degree in Pastoral Ministry. In his free time, he likes to read, write, make coffee, and when the weather is good, he especially enjoys biking and working on his car.
