Elders
We believe the Bible teaches a church should be led by a team of elders. These men must meet the biblical qualifications (1 Timothy 3:1-7, Titus 1:6-9); they function as both overseers and pastors within the congregation.
Mark Timmons
Elder (staff)
Mark and his family came to Friendship in 2018 to serve on staff as the Associate Pastor. Mark and Libbie were married in 2002 and have four daughters and one son. He has served in discipleship ministries and school administration. His ministry passion is to help other Christians live out their identity in Christ.
JOHN LANE
Elder (staff)
John and his wife Marilyn came to Friendship in 2021. They have three adult sons, two daughter-in-laws and four grandchildren living in Virginia. They began serving in the mission field when the Lord called them to be missionaries in the United Arab Emirates from August 2016-August 2021. John seeks to unite the church through discipleship and family ministry.
Steve Flagler
Elder
Steve and his family came to Friendship in 1972. Steve is married to his wife Gail and they have 6 children and 5 grandchildren. Steve is retired from the Navy. He has ministry experience as a Sunday school teacher and as a Deacon. Steve seeks to live by John 13:35.
Nate Johnson
Elder
Nate and his family came to Friendship in 2015 as they launched the Charleston Bilingual Academy. Nate is married to his wife Rosanna and have three daughters and one son. Nate has ministry experience in both Christian school administration and serving as a bivocational pastor in Venezuela. Nate's ministry passion is discipleship and seeks to live by Matthew 6:34 and Romans 8:32.
