Grace Groups A Place to Embody and Extend the Grace of Christ
Grace Groups are where members of Friendship gather with one another, and with their friends and neighbors, to put on display the love and unity given to us in the Gospel.
These gatherings provide the context (typically in homes), where we can embody grace and kindness towards one another through close relationships and the use of our grace-gifts (i.e. Christian community). They also provide opportunities for us to stretch out that grace and kindness toward other Image bearers in our neighborhoods, places of employment and recreation (i.e. Christian outreach).
Group times will focus on sharing a meal, fellowship, prayer for one another and a brief time of study together. For 2019-2020, Grace Groups will work through three books written by Greg Gilbert: What is the Gospel?, Who is Jesus? and Why Trust the Bible?. We hope that these studies not only strengthen the faith of Christians, but also provide an opportunity for our friends and neighbors to carefully consider the claims of Christianity.
Group Locations: Grace Groups meet at homes in Park Circle, Hanahan and North Charleston, as well as at the church campus. There are groups for both English and Spanish speakers that meet throughout the week.
